The Advanced Mobility Collective is a nonprofit global community of business, technology, government and research partners bringing new mobility services to life. The community is a catalyst for innovation and economic development for connected and autonomous vehicles in the air, on the ground and at sea. The Collective is an economic development initiative of the WRC and its global alliance of experts, companies, public and private partners. Empowering communities and collaboration to develop the next generation of products and services is the catalyst for WRC initiatives.

The collaboration provides an opportunity for various industrial sectors to demonstrate new technologies and platforms through creating a test bed to improve prediction, prevention and monitoring of adverse events such as wildfires, weather events or other difficult public safety applications.

For example, the WRC Technologies group is leading the deployment and operation of advanced wireless 5G testbeds for autonomous drone and mobility systems. The Aerial Experimentation and Research Platform for Advanced Wireless (AERPAW) is the nation’s third advanced wireless research platform supported by an industry consortium and a $24 million grant from the National Science Foundation.

RIoT, a WRC initiative focused on entrepreneurship and the Internet of Things marketplace, is a catalyst for many of the AMC initiatives. RIoT is the largest, most active IoT organization in the nation with more than 8,000 members and 80 company sponsors. The RIoT Accelerator Program (RAP) helps entrepreneurs create and grow companies.
