Field Testing & Propagation Modeling
Laboratory testing under controlled conditions is necessary for product development. But when systems are deployed in the real world, the results are often not what was expected. That is when field testing can be used to evaluate the real world conditions and propagation that make radio systems behave “differently” than expected.
The Wireless Research Center has the experience and tools to plan and deploy field measurements to evaluate your wireless system. WRC has three portable towers capable of deploying to 100’, with their own generators to power whatever equipment is needed for testing. The WRC test equipment suite consists of traditional signal generators and spectrum analyzers as well as SDR based generation and analysis tools. Our staff has experience with field testing of commercial and governmental RF systems.
We can also provide assistance in understanding and predicting the behavior of RF propagation for your system or network. We have experience in RF propagation modeling for satellite and terrestrial links.
